みなさまへ、

日頃より、フィリピン研究会にご協力いただき誠にありがとうございます。
2020年大会の実行委員長を仰せつかりました高木佑輔（政策研究大学院大学（GRIPS））です。

2020年大会について、7月4日と5日開催として準備を進めてまいりました（
https://philippinestudiesgroupjapan.wordpress.com/）。

しかしながら、新型コロナウィルス感染拡大という状況下、国内外で多くの学会や研究集会が中止や日程変更を余儀なくされています。

我々実行委員は、いくつかの可能性について考えたうえで、今年度はオンラインで開催するという結論に至りました。なお、どのアプリケーションを使うかは6月ごろに決定する予定です。

この決定に合わせ、参加費は無料とします。また、懇親会については、オンライン上で開催ということになりますので、こちらについても参加費はご自身の飲食代のみとなります。

こうした形式をとるのは初めての試みです。いくつもの予想外の出来事も起きることが予想されます。しかしながら、オンライン上であっても研究会を開催し、各自の研究がより豊かになり、それらの研究が発表されることによる波及効果は何にも代えがたい価値を持つものと信じます。

以上の趣旨にご賛同いただける方は、ぜひ4月20日までに参加、報告希望を下記のHPをご参考いただき、Eメールにてお伝えください（

）。また、利用するオンライン環境を吟味するためにも、参加者数を事前に把握させてください。参加のみを想定する方も事前登録いただくようお願いいたします。

Hope this find you well despite this massive challenge of COVID-19.

We, the steering committee for the 2020 Young Scholars Conference for
Philippine Studies in Japan is preparing for the annual meeting scheduled
on July 4 and 5, 2020 (https://philippinestudiesgroupjapan.wordpress.com/).

It is so sad to announce that we will hold the meeting on line with on line
application this year (we will announce the application in June).

Because we don’t use any facilities except your own devices and
application, the participation fee is free. Those you like to join the
after conference party, please prepare whatever you like to have and be
ready in front of your device.

It is the very first attempt to have a meeting on line and troubles may
happen. We made a decision nonetheless to have an on line meeting to
organize an opportunity where we see each other and learn from each other
to enrich our scholarship in Philippine studies.

Those who agree to the idea to have a meeting on line, please register
yourself no later than April 20 through the homepage (
https://philippinestudiesgroupjapan.wordpress.com/). In order to choose a
better option for the on line application, we highly appreciate the
registration of not only those who present your paper but those who join
the conference without your presentation beforehand.
